As a charitable organization we are always in need of donations to support our efforts.
These fall into two main categories:
First, we need fishing items to be given to kids as part of our numerous kids programs.
We have a Kids' Day every year where we teach fly fishing, fly tying, and general fishing
to local kids from various boy and girl scout organizations. We also participate in events
from Father Time in Keansburg, to Clean Ocean Action shore events. We need small gifts to give
to the kids so they remember what they learned about becoming responsible stewards
of the ocean resource. Lures, tackle boxes, spin fishing rods and reels, and other fishing
tackle is always eagerly welcomed by our kids.
Second, donations of raffle items for our annual club charity dinner. These items help us raise
needed funds for our programs during the year, and we need things both fishing-related and
non-fishing related. Some things that have been appreciated in the past include: framed
pictures and prints, fly fishing rods and reels (both salt and fresh water), tied flies,
jewelry, restaurant gift certificates, fishing clothes, fly tying supplies, fly tying vises,
wine, fishing lures, fishing rods.
Absolutely anything you might care to donate would be greatly appreciated. To make a donation,
please contact Capt. Robby at (732)-291-1193
or email him at captfysh@aol.com. Money is also helpful, to fund our events such as
kids and veterans fishing trips and the Kids' Day. Please make checks payable to "Bayshore
Saltwater Flyrodders".
We are a 501C-3 charitable organization and, as such, your
donations are all tax-deductible. |

Background:
Founded in 1994, Bayshore Saltwater Flyrodders has evolved into a fantastic group of people who
share information and techniques, and support the community in many ways. We run charter trips
for family members who lost loved ones on 9/11 and others, and running Kids' Kamp, a fly fishing
experience for local Boy Scout troops where we teach the art of fly fishing and tying, and their
relationship to the local ecology.
This, in essence, is what the club is all about: Introducing fly fishing to people, especially
youngsters, and educating them by sharing our combined knowledge of casting, fly tying and
finding fish to catch, and having fun doing it!
